Our story.
Hoollow started with a simple thought:
why can teenagers use the internet, but not build on it freely?
The seed of an idea.
At 14, Ayush Kumar attended a magic show. Somewhere in the middle of the performance, his mind wandered away from the illusions.
He started thinking about startups, innovation, and how tech ecosystems function in the real world.
That random thought slowly turned into an idea:
what if teenagers had their own ecosystem to build?
A platform centered around pure ability.
The first barrier.
He tried joining LinkedIn to explore the startup world and connect with other builders.
His account was instantly flagged and suspended because he was under the minimum age requirement.
Before skill could be seen, age became the filter.
Ecosystem Freedom
Launching builds directly to users. Finding feedback without age validation.
A hopeful horizon.
He later moved to Peerlist.
For the first time, he found a space where he could launch projects, share ideas, and build products freely in the open.
After launching two projects successfully, he received warm validation. For a moment, the system worked. Encouraged, he planned to launch a third, more ambitious build.
The second barrier.
Peerlist later restricted product launches to verified users only. The verification system required absolute credentials:
- — Government ID
- — Corporate Work ID
- — Higher Education Validation
At 14, those systems didn’t work for him. His parents didn't share ID cards, he had no corporate records, and school verification failed. Again, age became the barrier.
“The internet was built for teenagers to consume. Not to build.”
The clarity.
“That’s when the idea became clear.”
Teenagers already had the ideas, coding skills, startup ambitions, creativity, and drive. What they lacked was a platform designed for them. A space that trusted their abilities rather than legacy credentials.
So he built Hoollow.
A platform where teenagers can experiment, build startups, collaborate, and create freely — without unnecessary barriers.
Skill Over Credentials
A meritocracy designed to highlight code quality, dynamic design interfaces, and execution over legacy age standards.
Zero Barriers
Launch, ship, iterate, and deploy creations instantly to users without being stopped by professional or corporate checklists.
